Walt Disney World Resort offers all kinds of special holiday celebrations at their four parks, resort hotels, restaurants and more. This year, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will offer more holiday magic than ever before with festive new entertainment and holiday decor in every land, according to the Disney Parks Blog.
- In Discovery Island, guests will be welcomed by a celebration of winter, featuring sparkling white holiday decorations, colorful animal-inspired luminaries lining the rooftops and wireframe lanterns in the shape of beautiful birds can be found perched throughout the area.
- During the day, Discover Island will come to life with a gathering of life-size, artisan-sculpted puppets of winter animals like reindeer, foxes, polar bears, penguins and more.
- They will be accompanied by serenading musicians as they interact with guests, creating a playful winter atmosphere.
- At night, the Tree of Life will glow at the center of Discovery Island with a series of wintry tales, complemented by a holiday-inspired musical score.
- Between presentations, the Tree of Life will continue to sparkle with a festive holiday glow.
- In Pandora – The World of Avatar, the ex-pats that have made the land their home will create a special display of kitschy holiday decor, combining Earth and Pandora decorations, at Pongu Pongu.
- In DInoland, U.S.A., Donald’s Dino Bash will feature colorful holiday decorations in the style of Donald Duck and his pals.
- At night, guests can join in the Holiday Hoopla Dance Party with Chip ‘n Dale and enjoy plenty of interactive fun and games.
- In Africa, the village of Harambe will offer a unique holiday presentation, blending western traditions with the colors and textiles of authentic African celebrations.
- The performers throughout Harambe will also add new holiday music and costumes to their performances.
- At Tusker House, guests can enjoy a little holiday cheer from Mickey and his pals with their meal.
- And finally, in Asia, the theatre district of Anandapur will once again be decorated with holiday lights Glowing flowers, lanterns and more in celebration of Diwali.
- Holiday festivities at Walt Disney World will begin on November 8, 2019.
