Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the place to be this summer if you want to celebrate Disney’s The Lion King. The Disney Parks Blog has shared a look at some new special treats themed to the classic film that will be available in the park all summer long.
- All of these new treats will be available throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom beginning May 24.
- At Tamu Tamu, guests will find the Simba Ice Cream Sandwich. This vanilla ice cream sandwich will include two chocolate chip cookies decorated with a chocolate tail and an image of Simba.
- Simba’s Sunset Dole Whip will also be available at Tamu Tamu. This frozen treat is a pineapple Dole Whip topped with red syrup made up of watermelon and coconut
- If you’re looking to enhance that treat, you might want to try the King’s Cooler, which adds rum to that combination.
- Guests can also try the Asante Slush, available at the Shave Ice Cart Near Harambe Market. This sweet treat consists of shaved ice topped with watermelon and passion fruit-mango syrup
- At Dawa Bar, Harambe Market, and Boneyard Bar, guests can enjoy this new Serengeti Sangria.
- The park may not be serving up any zebra, but guests can try the Bugs ‘n Grub Waffle Cone at Anandapur Bus and Trilo-Bites. This snack includes chocolate soft-serve ice cream in a green cone with cookies and cream “dirt” crumbles, gummy worms, and a chocolate beetle.
- Those looking to commemorate their Lion King experience at Disney’s Animal Kingdom can pick up the new souvenir popcorn bucket and sipper (seen above), which will be available later this summer at outdoor vending locations throughout the park.
- Guests looking for a caffeine boost can try the new Lion’s Latte at Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. This hot or iced latte features white chocolate and coconut as well as Joffrey’s “Flavors of Africa” artisan roast coffee from Kenya.
- And to step it up even further, Joffrey’s is offering special Lion King latte art featuring Simba.
- Guests can also enjoy other new enhancements at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, including Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night, a family-friendly progressive dining experience celebrating The Lion King.
- Disney’s live-action remake of The Lion King roars into theaters July 19.
