Look at this stuff. Isn’t it neat? Disney Legend Alan Menken took to his Twitter account yesterday to share a photo with Lin-Manuel Miranda and tease a new song for the upcoming live-action remake of Disney’s animated classic The Little Mermaid.
- Menken’s tweet never actually said the new song was for The Little Mermaid, but he did little to hide the giant movie poster between him and Miranda, or the Sebastian plush above him.
- Menken created the iconic music for the 1989 animated classic and now it looks like he’ll be creating a brand new song for the live-action remake of the film.
- Miranda, who created music for Disney’s Moana and played Jack in Mary Poppins Returns, will serve as a producer on the new film in addition to his work on the music.
