Sky’s Luke Bradley-Jones is joining the Disney family. Bradley-Jones will serve as Senior Vice President, Direct-to-Consumer, and General Manager Disney+ Europe and Africa.
What’s happening:
- Variety is reporting that Disney has hired Luke Bradley-Jones as part of the Disney+ team. Bradley-Jones will help launch the new streaming service in Europe and Africa.
- Bradley-Jones comes to Disney+ from Sky (owned by Comcast) where he served as chief marketing officer.
- He will serve as senior vice president, direct to consumer, and general manager Disney+ Europe and Africa.
- Based in London, Bradley-Jones will report to Jan Koppen, president television and direct-to-consumer, Europe and Africa. He will also report to Micahel Paull who serves as president, Disney streaming services.
- During his time at Sky Bradley-Jones helped to enhance their on-demand offerings, as well as launch the digital downloading service Sky Store, and the Sky Q box.
- He also worked at BBC Worldwide as the head of strategy for the commercial division. Bradley-Jones also served as a managing director of BBC.com and iPlayer.

- Netflix’s Matt Brodlie joined Disney+ and now serves as the Senior Vice President, International Content Development.
- ABC’s Ayo Davis has been promoted to a newly created position within the Walt Disney Company. She now serves as Executive Vice President, Talent and Casting, ABC Entertainment and Disney+.
Disney+ is coming soon:
- The new direct to consumer streaming service is set to launch on November 12, 2019 and will be available for $6.99/month or $69.99/month at launch.
- Fans can also bundle Disney+ with ESPN+ and Hulu for $12.99/month
