- Sarah Adnrews is seeking $3 million in damages in California federal court after allegedly suffering a head injury while exiting the classic attraction.
- The complaint filed on Friday alleges Andrews “violently struck” her head against a low concrete ceiling in a maintenance tunnel after the ride malfunctioned during her 2017 trip to the park.
- The attraction attendant allegedly instructed the exiting passengers to watch their step but failed to warn them about the low ceiling.
- Andrews felt disoriented and dazed after hitting her head, according to the complaint.
- Upon returning to her hotel room, she felt severe pain and went to the emergency room where she was diagnosed with a concussion.
- According to the complaint, she was later diagnosed with traumatic brain injury and permanent impairment requiring continuing treatment.
- Andrews and her husband Ryan are seeking $3 million for medical expenses and lost earning capacity.
