In a proactive effort to enhance guest safety, Tokyo Disney Resort is adding increased security measures at its two parks. In the coming weeks, guests will see metal detectors and x-ray scanners outside the park entrances.
What’s happening:
- The Oriental Land Company has announced they have added new security measures outside the entrances to their parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
- A press release posted this morning says:
- Oriental Land Co., Ltd. is continuing to introduce new security protocols at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea to enhance the safety of our Guests.
- So far, additional security checks and patrols have been implemented at both Parks.
- Metal detection gates, X-ray detectors and additional measures are being introduced to continue to enhance Guest safety.
- Tokyo Disney Resort continues to work with all neighboring partners and local authorities within the Resort area in order to create a safe and secure destination.
