ESPN has announced that Morgan Jerkins, New York Times bestselling author and former senior editor at ZORA digital magazine, will be joining ESPN’s The Undefeated as senior editor for culture.
What’s Happening:
- Morgan Jerkins has joined ESPN’s The Undefeated as the senior editor for culture.
- Jerkins and her team will be responsible for culturally relevant content in both long and short-form features on African-American music, theater, film, fashion, and more for ESPN and other Walt Disney Company platforms include live events and television specials.
- Jerkins is coming over from the digital magazine ZORA, where she served as senior editor since July 2019.
- She has had her work featured in The New York Times, Esquire, Rolling Stone, and more, along with publishing two books — This Will Be My Undoing and Wandering In Strange Lands. Her third book, Caul Baby: A Novel, comes out this April.
- Jerkins will officially start her role on March 15 based in New York.
