Yesterday, Walt Disney Imagineering shared a behind-the-scenes look at the Cinderella Castle décor coming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort. And some of that décor has made its way onto the Castle today. Check it out in the photos below.
- Jeremiah took an early morning stroll around Magic Kingdom Park to see some of the work being done to Cinderella Castle for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.”
- For the 50th celebration, shimmering EARidescent décor will appear around the resort while the icons at each park will transform at night to “Beacons of Magic.”
- Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom will receive when shimmering jewels and ribbons in royal blues and EARidescent golds will wrap its turrets and towers in all directions.
- Disney Imagineers developed these new colors and detailing as inspiration from Mary Blair’s vision in the classic Cinderella film.
Below is the concept art of what we can expect once it’s all done.
Jeremiah also got a close-up of the décor on the sides of the Castle with the 50th on the ends.
“The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” starts on October 1, 2021, at the Walt Disney World Resort.
