With the Oscars just a few weeks away, ABC News has announced their Countdown programming leading up to the prestigious, fan favorite award ceremony. The fun begins on April 25th at 1pm ET.
What’s Happening:
- As Hollywood prepares for an unprecedented 93rd Oscars, ABC News presents two blockbuster specials starting with its annual 3-hour broadcast Oscars Countdown, LIVE! on Sunday, April 25 at 1:00 pm ET.
- Hosted by Chris Connelly and Janai Norman the broadcast will originate from Los Angeles’ Union Station and highlight:
- The transformative year in Hollywood
- Impressive careers of the nominees
- A special tribute to Best Actor nominee Chadwick Boseman
- And much more
- Connelly and Norman will be joined by Kelley Carter, Elizabeth Wagmeister, Clayton Davis, and Joe Zee.
- ABC News’ flagship streaming network ABC News Live will also present a 2-hour special Oscars Countdown, LIVE! from 4:30-6:30 pm ET.
- The program will feature live celebrity interviews, entertainment and fashion reports and the historic impact of this year’s Oscars ceremony.
- Last month, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced all of the nominees for the 93 Oscars which include several nods to the Walt Disney Company.
- The 93rd Oscars will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 and will be televised live on ABC at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT.
