We were at Downtown Disney in the Disneyland Resort earlier today to check out what’s new and what’s going on as the Touch of Disney event concludes and the parks of the Disneyland Resort get ready to reopen in just a matter of days. Along with broadcasting live from the location which you can watch below, we also spotted a lot of new things, and things to look at while walking around!
The only visible crowd we saw was surrounding the Pin Traders location, which upon further investigation, was offering these new Marvel pins for the upcoming Black Widow, as well as S.W.O.R.D.
New Disneyland Hotel merchandise can be spotted not at the Disneyland Hotel, but rather in the Wonderground Gallery, which has apparel and souvenirs celebrating 65 years of the Disneyland Hotel.
Also at the Wonderground Gallery, we spotted these fun new items from Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar.
Over in the Disney Dress Shop, we got a look at the latest dress, “Play in the Park” which features adorable little icons of park items and landmarks, and also has a matching purse like a game spinner where you can spin the Mickey hand and randomly select which park, Disneyland or Disney California Adventure, to attend for the day.
Over at the World of Disney, the Winnie the Pooh nuiMOs are on display, perfect for celebrating spring.
In the Disneyland Resort Backlot Premier Shop at DCA’s Stage 17, we found a plethora of Marvel items, including apparel and Funko POPs.
Out in the esplanade, walls have shown up for last minute preparations for the big reopening on April 30th. Don’t get too excited though, it is likely concrete work, or work on the lamp posts and banners.
The former location of the AMC Theaters has a lot of display space that is currently occupied by posters for the upcoming Oscars, this Sunday on ABC. Surrounding posters also showcase recent Academy Award winners from the Walt Disney Company, including Black Panther, Inside Out, and Toy Story 4.
Across the way at the Star Wars Trading Post, we have spotted a few new items, including a new PEZ Dispenser based on The Mandalorian, featuring the classic candy toy in both Grogu and Mandalorian styles.
That’s all for today, but in about 10 days time, we’ll be back again for the long-awaited much-anticipated reopening of the parks of the Disneyland Resort, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on April 30th.
