The Walt Disney Family Museum Will Celebrate Earth Day With a Free Virtual Community Art Exhibition

The Walt Disney Family Museum has announced its third virtual community art exhibition — Conserving the Magic of Our Planet.

What’s Happening:

  • The Walt Disney Family Museum is celebrating Earth Day with a new virtual community art exhibition that will be free to view online and through the museum’s mobile app on Thursday, April 11 at 11:00 am PT. You’ll also be able to check out the exhibition on the museum’s Facebook and YouTube websites.
  • The exhibition, Conserving the Magic of Our Planet, is inspired by Walt Disney’s passion for stories based on our natural environment and his commitment to protect our planet with such productions as the True-Life Adventures series.
  • Conserving the Magic of Our Planet will showcase creations submitted by adult and teen artists across the United States and around the world including Nicaragua, New Zealand, Mexico, and Spain.
  • The 180 works of art that were selected will be on display in a 3D rendering of the Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall.

What They’re Saying:

  • Kirsten Komoroske, WDFM Executive Director: “Walt’s appreciation for this planet was evident in his storytelling, as he and his team thoughtfully incorporated the magic of nature into his films and attractions. This Earth Day, as part of our third virtual community exhibition, the museum is spotlighting Walt’s commitment to conservation awareness with remarkable works from our global community. I am deeply grateful to all of the artists who participated in this important reminder—which Walt recognized decades ago—of our planet’s fragility. The talented and passionate artists in this exhibition have made this inspiring virtual experience possible.”
