Jeff Vahle, President of the Walt Disney World Resort, took to Instagram to announce that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at Magic Kingdom will be reopening later this weekend!
What’s Happening:
- It was just announced by Walt Disney World Resort President Jeff Vahle that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at Magic Kingdom will be reopening later this weekend after a long refurbishment.
- Originally scheduled to reopen with the park in July 2020 after the closure due to the pandemic, the PeopleMover above Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland has been shuttered since the park closed back in Mid-March.
- As of publishing, the schedule for the attraction has not been updated and continues to say that no times are available.
Instagram Message from Jeff Vahle:
- “On a recent trip to Magic Kingdom, I stopped by to check in with the Engineering team overseeing the refurbishment of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, previously called the “WEDway PeopleMover” when I first rode it as a teenager. Thrilled that this team has it ready to delight a new generation when it reopens later this weekend!”
