Adding to your lightsaber collection is easy while in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, as we noticed the new addition of Rey’s Lightsaber Hilt now available at Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities.
What’s Happening:
- We were at Disneyland Park earlier today and browsing the shops found in the far off planet Batuu (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge) where we happened upon Rey’s Lightsaber hilt.
- Located in Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, Rey’s Hilt sells for $149.99, and you can add the blade as well.
- Rey, who first debuted in Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens, built a lightsaber from salvaged materials from the maker’s quarterstaff and handgrip. Like the quarterstaff it originated as, Rey's lightsaber hilt was blocky and heavy due to its exterior armor that made it resistant to impact and wear and tear. The lightsaber had a kyber crystal at its heart, and emitted a yellow-colored plasma blade when ignited. The emitter matrix on Rey's weapon featured a rotating gear-like mechanism, which caused the emitter of the lightsaber to open up and allow the plasma blade through.
- Guests can now take home their own version of Rey’s hilt from the retail location in the newest land at Disneyland Park, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
More Disneyland News:
- Disneyland has started testing a virtual queue system for Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye to help temporarily manage queue capacity with the current theme park guidelines, and Mike was able to check it out.
- Last week, the Disneyland Resort announced reopening dates for multiple restaurants, including that Blue Bayou Restaurant would reopen on May 27. With the reopening coming soon, we have now gotten an update to the menu, including alcohol which will begin to be served for the first time there.
