Marvel Studios has tapped Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim to direct their upcoming Secret Invasion series coming to Disney+, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
- Bezucha is known for helming the crime thriller Let Him Go. He also directed the dramedy The Family Stone.
- Selim is best known for directing Hulu’s drama series The Looming Tower. Some of his other credits include In Treatment, Hand of God, and Manhunt.
- Marvel declined to comment on the directors being tapped for Secret Invasion.
- Kyle Bradstreet, who is known for his work on the hit series Mr. Robot, will write and executive produce the series.
- Secret Invasion is expected to begin shooting in Europe later this year.
- This news comes after several exciting additions to the cast of this series have been announced, including:
- Of course, this group would also be joining Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn, who will be reprising their roles as Nick Fury and Talos, respectively.
About Secret Invasion:
- In Marvel Comics, “Secret Invasion” is a story in which Earth has been infiltrated by the shape-shifting race of aliens known as the Skrulls. Earth’s mightiest heroes have to assemble to take out this new threat, but they don’t know who they can trust as any one of them can be a Skrull.
- There is currently no timeline for Secret Invasion though it is likely the series will not debut until at least late 2022 or possibly 2023.
