Writer, director and producer Lee Daniels has extended his overall deal with the Disney-owned 20th Television, according to Deadline.
- The new multi-year extension comes through Daniels’ production company Lee Daniels Entertainment.
- Daniels is best known as the creator of the hit series Empire but he is also set to be an executive producer on the upcoming reboot of The Wonder Years on ABC and Fox’s Our Kind of People.
- He is also developing a reboot of Waiting to Exhale for ABC and the pilot for the drama series The Spook Who Sat By the Door at FX.
- The extension comes seven years after Daniels inked his original deal with 20th Television.
