Starting June 15th, more than just California Residents will be allowed to visit California’s Original Theme Park, Knott’s Berry Farm, as the park plans to allow out-of-state guests once again.
What’s Happening:
- Knott’s Berry Farm has announced that starting June 15th, they will invite out-of-state guests (read: non-California Residents) into the park once again. As part of the state’s reopening guidelines, theme parks were asked to only allow residents of the state through the park gates before backpedaling slightly and adjusting those guidelines to allow fully vaccinated non-residents in. Some parks, including Knott’s Berry Farm and Disneyland decided to forego that and stick to the original plan. Now, June 15th, that requirement is being lifted by the park (Disneyland Too!).
- Guests must still make reservations to access the park on the day they would like to visit, as well as follow guidelines that are still in place, including wearing a face covering.
- This means that starting June 15th, following the guidelines, out-of-state guests can experience Knott’s Berry Farm’s 100 year anniversary celebration, a grand summer-long anniversary celebration paying tribute to the Knott family's rich history and legacy of family fun for all. "The Knott's Family Reunion" is a chance for friends and families to come together to relive their favorite Knott's remembrances while also creating unforgettable, exciting new memories. Guests will be immersed in a once-in-a-lifetime anniversary celebration featuring festive park décor, themed food items, unique entertainment, exclusive merchandise, and special surprises along the way, all paying homage to the nostalgia that surrounds the historic theme park. Guests will also be able to Meet and Greet with Whittles, who was first seen at the park in 1973 and is looking forward to meeting new friends this summer in Ghost Town. Guests can also meet and greet with the characters from Bear-y Tales after experiencing the new Knott’s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair. The park also will light up the Buena Park skyline each night with a newly redesigned “K” atop the Sky Tower, as well as allow guests to enjoy photo ops themed to Kingdom of the Dinosaurs, the Wacky Soap Box Racers, and in the famous Haunted Shack.
