The Undefeated has announced that David Dennis Jr. has joined as a full-time senior writer to cover music.

- David Dennis Jr. has joined ESPN’s The Undefeated as a senior writer covering music.
- Dennis, a freelance journalist based in Atlanta, Ga. has been a frequent contributor to The Undefeated prior to the announcement and will begin his new role on Monday, June 21.
- Dennis had recently received the 2021 American Mosaic Journalism Award for his work and is currently working on his first book, The Movement Made Us, telling the story of his father, civil rights activist David Dennis Sr., who was a member of the Freedom Riders.
