Universal Studios Japan has announced that the theme park will open on the weekends starting on June 26, bringing it back to the seven-day-a-week operation.
What’s Happening:
- Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga has announced that the state of emergency in Japan will be lifted for all but one prefecture (Okinawa) starting this Sunday, June 20.
- With the announcement made, Universal Japan, located in Osaka Prefecture, has announced that they will begin opening on the weekends starting June 26, bringing the theme park back to a seven-day-a-week operation.
- The theme park will continue to operate at a reduced capacity
- Universal Studios Japan reopened on June 1 operating on the weekdays only after the latest closure on April 25, 2021, due to the state of emergency.
