Those in Southern California this weekend have the opportunity to experience a new pop up celebration ahead of the debut of ABC’s When Nature Calls with Helen Mirren at the Los Angeles Zoo.
What’s Happening:
- ABC’s new series, When Nature Calls with Helen Mirren, is coming! And to celebrate, The Los Angeles Zoo is hosting a special Pop Up Experience!
- Operating today, June 19th and tomorrow, June 20th, Fans can stop by the pop up experience to pick up an exclusive giveaway, while supplies last.
- Visitors to the pop up will also be able to check out a sneak peek of the laugh-out-loud series which looks at the lighter side of the natural world. The series features comedians putting words into the mouths of beautiful beasts, teeny-tiny frogs, beatboxing badgers and more in captivating footage from all over the world.

- Located in Griffith Park (at the intersection of the Golden State (5) and Ventura (134) freeways), The Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens opened on November 28, 1966. The Zoo is home to more than 2,200 mammals, birds, amphibians, and reptiles representing more than 270 different species, of which more than 58 are endangered. In addition, the Zoo’s botanical collection comprises several planted gardens and over 800 different plant species with approximately 7,000 individual plants. The Zoo receives nearly 1.8 million visitors per year and is owned and operated by the City of Los Angeles. The Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).
