Disney Cruise Line has announced that simulated sailings of the Disney Dream from Port Canaveral have been delayed due to inconsistent COVID-19 test results.
What’s Happening:
- Orlando Sentinel has reported that Disney Cruise Line will delay its simulated sailing which was set to start tomorrow, after receiving COVID-19 test results.
- Disney Cruise Line was set to start sailings with Cast Members as they get ready to welcome Guests aboard, but have put out a statement announcing a delay to the testing after inconsistent COVID-19 results have occurred, which are considered positive by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
- The Disney Dream would have started the two-night simulated sailing which would have left tomorrow, Tuesday, June 29, and returned on Thursday, July 1.
- The testing is required for Disney Cruise Line to receive a conditional sailing certificate from the CDC.
Statement from Disney Cruise Line:
- “We are delaying our simulation cruise due to a small number of inconsistent COVID-19 test results, which are considered positive by the CDC. The rigorous health and safety protocols we have in place helped us identify the situation, though the test results were ultimately negative.”
