Marvel has created an exclusive Incredible Hulk poster in celebration of Cincinnati Reds’ pitcher Wade Miley’s no-hitter in May.
- Marvel shared a look at the new Hulk poster (above) created by Creative Director of Marvel Themed Entertainment and talented artist Brian Crosby, whose father Ed Crosby is coincidentally a former player for the Reds.
- The relevance of this new Hulk poster comes from the fact that Miley threw his no-hitter after his son gave him a temporary tattoo of the character.
- Miley shared this big green detail after the game:
- The new exclusive poster, which features Miley with the Hulk, will be given out to fans in attendance for the Reds’ July 17 game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
- In addition to the poster, fans at the game will also get the opportunity to meet Brian Crosby, Ed Crosby and even the Hulk himself at the Champions Gallery inside the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum from 4 to 6 p.m. to get their posters signed.
What they’re saying:
- Brian Crosby, Creative Director of Marvel Themed Entertainment: “From the moment I saw Wade Miley’s historic no-hitter and noticed the Hulk tattoo on his arm and then heard the story about his son, I knew we needed to find a way to honor this moment here at Marvel. To me, the Hulk is a Super Hero that learns to control his inner rage and channels it to serve the greater good not unlike the focus and control it takes to find success in Major League Baseball let alone throw a no-hitter. As a lifelong baseball fan and son of a former Cincinnati Red, it was an honor to illustrate this poster and hopefully capture a moment that celebrates Wade’s incredible achievement in the mighty Marvel manner!”
