Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Reopens to Guests

Jeremiah is over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for its reopening day on July 19. Let’s take a look around the resort.

The first thing you’ll notice is the Grand Ceremonial House and monorail station are still under construction as the resort continues preparations for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary on October 1, 2021.

Inside the hotel, complimentary POG juice is being given away in celebration of the reopening. It may not be a churro, but it’s very tropical.

Guests have also started to check-in, with music being played in the lobby.

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto will be reopening today starting at 3:00 pm till midnight, along with the Tiki Terrace located outside. All Guests are welcome to Grog Grotto till 8:00 pm when it changes over to 21 and older only.

Despite the name change for the “Shrunken Zombie Head” to the new name of “Zombie,” the original name remains outdoors at the Tiki Terrace.

Outside at Pineapple Lanai, Guests can check out the limited-time DOLE Whip featuring raspberry swirled with orange in a white chocolate-dipped waffle cone coated with gold sugar. The special DOLE Whip is available starting today through Wednesday, July 21.
