Walt Disney World Annual Pass Details Shared, on Sale September 8

The wait is almost over, as Disney has announced that Walt Disney World Annual Passes will be going on sale September 8, 2021, with a new look just in time for the 50th anniversary of the resort.

What’s Happening:

  • Disney Parks Blog has announced that Walt Disney World Annual Passes will go on sale starting September 8, 2021.
  • One of the changes is that Annual Passes will now be limited to Florida Residents except for the top tier Incredi-Pass. DVC Members who are not Florida Residents will be eligible to also get the Sorcerer Pass.
  • Passholders will now be able to make theme park reservations for each day of their stay at a Disney Hotel or select hotels, and it won’t count against their pass reservations. They have also increased the amount of reservations depending on the pass selected, allowing up to five at one time.
  • WDW Passholders will also keep perks like Park Hopping, parking, and merchandise and dining discounts, in addition to some surprises coming to celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary.
  • Compared to the previous passes which had 12 options, the new program has gotten much simpler with only four.

What If I’m a Current Passholder?

  • Current Passholders will be able to continue using their passes as they do today, and will be able to start holding more reservations (Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Platinum Plus) when the new passes begin on September 8, 2021. When it’s time to renew, current Passholders will be given a special renewal price.
  • A new exclusive magnet is also being sent out to current Passholders, so be on the lookout!

Can You Upgrade a Ticket to an Annual Pass?

  • Starting September 8, you will be able to upgrade an eligible ticket to a select annual pass. More details on what is considered eligible will be shared soon.

What’s New With WDW Annual Passes?

More Park Reservations Can Now Be Made

  • Passholders will now be able to hold up to five Disney Park Pass reservations at one time.
  • “Bonus Reservations” will also be added to the calendar for Passholders to make additional reservations without counting against the five offered.

Passholders Staying at Disney Resort Hotels

  • Passholders at Disney Resort Hotels and other select hotels will be able to book reservations for each day of their stay in addition to reservations able to be made by their pass type.

Annual Pass Customizations

  • Passholders can select additional add-ons for their pass including Water Park and Sports option, and Disney PhotoPass downloads.

New Integrated Calendar

  • A new calendar system will let Passholders see blockout dates for each pass type, view available days, and make, modify, or cancel a reservation all in one place.

Disney Pixie Dust Pass

  • Florida Residents Only
  • $399 plus tax—or $19 per month with 12 monthly payments and 0% APR after $205 down payment on the Florida Resident Monthly Payment Program.
  • Pass is valid for use most weekdays, subject to blockout dates including peak and holiday periods—view blockout dates.
  • Make and hold up to 3 park reservations at a time on a rolling basis.
  • Passholders staying at select Disney Resort or other select hotels are eligible to make park reservations for each day of their Resort stay(s), in addition to holding 3 park reservations at a time.
  • Bonus reservations will be added to the calendar from time to time, allowing you to make extra reservations on select days at select theme parks. Bonus reservations do not count as a reservation hold.
  • Customize with add-ons like Disney PhotoPass downloads and the Water Park and Sports option.
  • Standard theme park parking.

Disney Pirate Pass

  • Florida Residents Only

  • Make and hold up to 4 park reservations at a time on a rolling basis.

  • Bonus reservations will be added to the calendar from time to time, allowing you to make extra reservations on select days at select theme parks. Bonus reservations do not count as a reservation hold.
