Florida residents who want to show their love of all things Disney can now officially add Walt Disney World 50th anniversary license plates to their vehicles. The pre-ordered plates recently went into production and are reportedly now available at Department of Motor Vehicle locations across the state.
What’s Happening:
- At long last the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary logo License Plate is making its way to fans and will soon be spotted on cars throughout the state of Florida.
- The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that the plates have gone into production, and are now available statewide.
- Last October, Disney announced plans for the specialty plates with an extra push for support in February.
- In late March, Disney revealed the logo design and quickly secured the required 3,000 pre-orders to make the plate a reality.
- The design for the new license plate features the “EARidescent” 50th anniversary castle logo on a royal blue background, inspired by the color scheme of Cinderella Castle.
- The Sentinel reports that now, more than 10,000 pre-orders have been received (as of September 1st) from residents across the state.
- The plates are $25 plus applicable state administration fees. 100% of proceeds from the sales of the 50th anniversary plates will go to longtime Disney charitable partner, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida.

- The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” will start on October 1, 2021, and continue for 18 months.
- Shimmering EARidescent décor will appear around the resort while the icons at each park will transform at night to “Beacons of Magic.”
