Playstation Blog shared story details about the trailer, detailing that Cosmo is now the head of security of Knowhere, and with the Universal Church of Truth threatening the safety of Knowhere, Cosmo helps the Guardians investigate the Church and their source of power.

During E3 2021, Marvel and Eidos-Montréal announced the new video game Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, a single-player game taking fans through a narrative action-adventure as they control Peter Quill, making decisions that will impact everything moving forward.

In the game universe, Star-Lord starts the Guardians to sell their services as “heroes for hire,” convincing Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot to join.
When you start off, the Guardians have triggered a chain reaction of catastrophic events, which put the universe’s fate at stake.
The game’s soundtrack will feature Iron Maiden, KISS, New Kids On The Block, Rick Astley, and more.

Marvel and gaming fans have more to look forward to though, with Marvel and Titan Books partnering to publish a companion art book for the game by Matt Ralphs, and a prequel novel written by M.K. England.
