Disney Cruise Line has announced that Guests may now use the Safe Passage website to purchase and schedule a pre-trip COVID-19 PCR test that can be performed at a testing location in Central Florida 1-3 days before their sail date.
What’s Happening:
- Disney Cruise Line sent an update a few days ago on CDC requirements for all sailings starting September 13, 2021 until further notice. The CDC update requires all Guests, regardless of age and vaccination status, to take a COVID-19 test before boarding. Rapid antigen tests will not be accepted.
- Guests who turn 12 within 5 weeks of embarkation will be allowed to sail but are required to take the PCR test.
- Disney has detailed 3 options Guests can use for PCR testing, including the new option of using a testing location in Central Florida via the Safe Passage website.
Option 1: Safe Passage Website COVID-19 PCR Test Registration
- To comply with the requirements, Disney Cruise Line has announced that Guests will be able to use the Safe Passage website to purchase and schedule pre-trip COVID-19 PCR tests.
- The test will be performed at a testing site in Central Florida 1-3 days before their sail date and cost $98.33 per test.
- Results take 24-48 hours to process and will be emailed to the address provided during registration on the Safe Passage website.
Testing Locations and Operating Schedules:
- The Orlando International Airport Testing Location will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week.
- The Cape Canaveral Radisson Resort, near Port Canaveral, will be open 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., 7 days a week.
- Guests who complete an at-home test kit can also drop off their completed test sample at one of the onsite testing locations.
Option 2: Pre-Trip, At-Home PCR Test from Safe Passage
- Guests residing in the United States will be able to purchase a pre-trip, at-home PCR test directly from the Safe Passage website by Inspire Diagnostics.
- The test costs $98.33 per person.
- Tests must be mailed back to Inspire Diagnostics 3 days before the saily date using a prepaid UPS envelope included with the kit.
- Results take 24-48 hours to process and will be emailed to the address provided during registration on the Safe Passage website.
- Guests who do not mail back their tests via UPS can drop off their completed test sample at one of the onsite testing locations in Central Florida at the Orlando International Airport and at the Radisson Resort in Cape Canaveral.
Option 3: Guests can get a PCR Test from an Independent Testing Provider
- Guests will want to choose a provider with the fastest processing time as test results must be submitted between 3 days and 24 hours prior to sailing.
