To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, Monorail Gold has been wrapped up with a special design as the Walt Disney World Resort gets ready to kick off the World’s Most Magical Celebration. The wrap features Mickey and Minnie in their “EARidescent” best against the color scheme matching the rest of the celebration.
At this time, the only monorail we know that this wrap is, appropriately enough, Monorail Gold. It is unclear at this time if more monorails will receive a special wrap. Considering only Mickey and Minnie appear on this monorail, who knows if Donald, Goofy, Pluto and others will appear on other monorails soon.
Along with the monorail, more of the new Fab 50 Character Statues have started to appear around the Magic Kingdom, outside of the central hub where it seems that many of the statues have been placed.
Over near the Mad Tea Party, guests can find the Cheshire Cat and Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland.
And over at the popular purple wall, Stitch is ready to crash all those Instagram and social media photos by crawling out on the wall itself with a freshly torn off “50” medallion in his mouth. The Disney Fab 50 Character Collection will be found all around the four theme parks with the Mickey and Minnie Mouse sculptures being dedicated to the Disney Cast Members of the past, present, and future. More of the statues coming to the Magic Kingdom have already been installed and earlier today we spotted more of them installed at EPCOT.
Closer to Cinderella Castle, more fall fun decor can be found but instead of the Mickey Mouse Jack-O-Lanterns that adorn the street lamps of Main Street USA, these pumpkins are emblazoned with the crest of the nearby castle.
