Visitors to the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort yesterday were treated to a brief pop-up experience celebrating The Wonder Years on ABC.
What’s Happening:
- Yesterday, September 18, guests to the Downtown Disney District of the Disneyland Resort were able to experience a brief pop-up event celebrating ABC’s The Wonder Years.
- The pop was designed to help guests get a head start on their trick or treating and allow Downtown Disney District visitors to revisit their youth with a retro ice cream truck experience.
- The themed truck was parked in the district and served up the best nostalgic treats including ice cream cones and other frozen goodies.
- The experience also popped up days before the series premiere of the new original coming-of-age comedy The Wonder Years on Wednesday, September 22, on ABC.
- Inspired by the beloved award-winning series of the same name, The Wonder Years is a coming-of-age story set in the late 1960s that takes a nostalgic look at a Black middle-class family in Montgomery, Alabama, through the point of view of imaginative 12-year-old Dean. With the wisdom of his adult years, Dean’s hopeful and humorous recollections show how his family found their “wonder years” in a turbulent time.
- You can also find out what Chris thought about the new series here, before you watch the show’s debut at 8:30/7:30c, Wednesday, September 22, on ABC and available next-day on Hulu.
