The Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom Park reopens September 29th with new sponsor Mars Wrigley and new sweets to delight Guests.
What’s Happening:
- The Disney Parks Blog just revealed that the Main Street Confectionery will reopen on Wednesday, September 29th. It has been closed since March 29th.
- While the popular sweet shop was closed for refurbishment, it picked up a new sponsor, Mars Wrigley, who recently opened the M&M’s Store at Disney Springs.
- Part of the sponsorship includes a new candy wall that boasts 38 different colors of M&M’s, plus other Mars candies like Skittles and Reese’s Pieces.
- Another new feature of the shop is the ability to customize popcorn with flavors like caramel, rainbow fruit, and cheddar, with options to add M&Ms and chocolate drizzle (we don’t recommend pairing cheddar with these options).
- Guests can also watch the confectioners at work behind glass, which includes classics like Mickey Mouse candy apples and new varieties of fudge.
- The Main Street Confectionery promises that there will be more than 30 new items for Guests to try that “Can’t be found anywhere else.”
- The shop will also offer limited-time treats for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary beginning Friday, October 1st.
