Walt Disney Studios Hires Daria Cercek as President of Live Action Theatrical
Cercek moves to Disney after a stint at Paramount Pictures.
Walt Disney Studios has hired Daria Cercek as the new president of the studio’s theatrical live action division.

What’s Happening:
- Daria Cercek is joining Walt Disney Studios as the company’s new President, Disney Live Action – Theatrical. Per Variety, Cercek will now be spearheading all aspects for Disney’s live action theatrical film slate, including developing and producing films using pre-existing characters and IP and original projects.
- She will report to David Greenbaum, the president of both Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios.
- Cercek comes to Disney off her role as co-president of the Motion Picture Group at Paramount Pictures, alongside Mike Ireland, where she oversaw films like Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Gladiator 2, Smile 2, A Quiet Place: Day One and The Lost City. She was previously at New Line Cinema and the pre-Disney-owned 20th Century Fox.
