Marvel fans were in for the ultimate treat with two trailer debuts this week. But not to be one to miss out on the fun, Disney Channel also shared a much longer look at their upcoming Kim Possible film. The week started out with a Captain Marvel trailer debuting during Monday Night Football, and was bookended by the release of the highly demanded Avengers: Endgame trailer. Oh, and in true Marvel fashion, they surprised us once again with a release date change to April 26. And while we’re on the topic of release dates, Kim Possible will debut on February 15. Fans got to see her in action (finally) while also dealing with a few of her normal life troubles.
Sneak Peek at Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast
Oh, Tokyo Disney Resort, you are the standard to which all theme parks should hold themselves. This week fans were given a sneak peek at a new attraction coming to Tokyo Disneyland as part of the Resort’s multi year expansion. Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast is a ride that will pull guests right into the beloved animated film as they dance through iconic scenes and favorite moments. Set to debut in 2020, Walt Disney Imagineers have been working hard on creating this unique experience that utilizes technology in new and exciting ways.
Walt Disney Family Museum Announces New Exhibition for 2019
Next year, guests can dive even deeper into the history of Mickey Mouse and his creator, Walt Disney, at the Walt Disney Family Museum. Mickey Mouse: From Walt to the World will celebrate the nine decade life of the world’s most iconic mouse and his impact on the pop culture and more. The exhibition will be guest curated by Disney Legend and animator Andreas Deja and will feature over 400 pieces.
Disneyland Celebrations
With 2019 quickly approaching Disneyland Resort is excited to ring in the New Year. Guests can join in the countdown to 2019 with their Pixar pals during the Incredible New Year’s Eve Celebration at Paradise Pier Hotel. The evening will feature a delicious buffet at PCH Grill followed by an awesome party with Pixar characters. Additionally, the Resort announced the return of Lunar New Year and Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. Lunar New Year honors the Asian celebrations of culture and tradition with a little Disney flare. Guests can enjoy festive foods, live entertainment, and a special parade starring Mulan and Mushu. And as 2019 is the Year of the Pig, guests might even catch a glimpse of Disney’s Three Little Pigs! Finally, the Food & Wine Festival will return for an extended eight-week run and will highlight fabulous cuisine featuring California grown ingredients and inspired by flavors from around the world.
Kingdom Hearts Pop-Up Exhibition Coming to Disney Springs
SQUARE ENIX—the creator behind the Kingdom Hearts game series—has partnered with Disney to present a pop-up exhibition at Disney Springs. Guests will have a chance to play a game demo of the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts III before its January 29 release. Along with the demo, the pop-up will be home of a Keyblade display featuring with life-size replicas directly from Kingdom Hearts III, larger-than-life art inspired by characters and worlds from the game, and digital kiosks where guests can pre-order the game and merchandise ahead of their releases. The exhibition opens on December 14, 2018 and runs through January 31, 2019.

Marvel reportedly looking to launch Shang-Chi franchise. Marvel Studios is looking to celebrate even more of its catalogue of characters with a live-action Shang-Chi film. The Studio has reportedly tapped writer Dave Callaham to pen the screenplay and create the lore for the MCU version of the character.
