Finale night is finally upon us, and as a quick refresher, I’ve decided to show you the final 3 couple’s (Rumer & Val, Noah & Sharna, Riker & Allison) best dances. As you have seen, I haven’t been doing recaps the past few weeks, as I have been uber-busy (IT IS MY SUMMER!), but I thought you need a quick recap of what these couples have to offer going into tonight’s 2-hour finale. BA BA DA BA BA BA BA BA BA DA BA BA!
Rumer & Val: First up is their Latin Night Salsa, with added Disco flair. Since it was so early in the competition, it’s brilliant-ness may be forgotten, however this dance was genius. It definitely didn’t receive the scores it deserved (THOSE BEING STRAIGHT 10s), which is understandable since it was only Week 2, and they didn’t want to peak so early on. Anyway, bask in the brilliance.

Next up is their freestyle from last night (Spoiler: Everyone’s freestyle was one of their best ever). It was elegant, sexy, ripe with content, and executed stunningly. Enjoy, and try not to get Meryl flashbacks.

Riker & Allison: What Allison created with their contemporary routine, set to Hozier’s “Work Song,” was pure perfection. From the costuming, lighting, emotion, choreography. Allison created an incredible routine, and Riker stood up to plate to execute it flawlessly.

Their freestyle was a complete 180 degree flip, with it being just a ball of fun. A modern Fred Astaire/Gene Kelly was on the ballroom floor during Allison’s fusion of time periods routine. Amazing!

Noah & Sharna: Noah excels best when their is emotion relating directly to his struggles and triumphs. As seen first with the Most Memorable Year contemporary routine Sharna exquistiely choreographed with finesse and style. And the man can lift. I just hate the song choice, even has a Toby Keith fan.

What Noah and Sharna did with the freestyle was incredible. Emotion, content, technique, all wrapped into a sweet morsel of Dancing with the Stars perfection.

Even though they say it every year, it is a super competitive finale, so I can’t wait to see what happens. However, I am rooting for Rumer & Val. Who is your favorite to take the Golden Mirrorball Trophy?! Let me know!
