National Watermelon Promotion Board Collaborates With Disney and Pixar's "Luca" for Month-Long Celebration

The National Watermelon Promotion Board (NWPB) has announced a month-long collaboration with Disney and Pixar’s film Luca, coming to Disney+ on June 18.

What’s Happening:

Disney and Pixar’s Luca and the National Watermelon Promotion Board (NWPB) have teamed up for a month-long collaboration celebrating watermelon in an “Unforgettable Summer.”
In the film, watermelon makes a cameo as Luca and Alberto venture through the town of Portorosso to see and taste all the new world has to offer.
With the collaboration, fans can visit Watermelon.org/PixarLuca to enter weekly giveaways and find watermelon recipes inspired by Italian cuisine.

“Unforgettable Summer” Campaign:

Throughout the month of June, fans can visit Watermelon.org/PixarLuca to share their summer adventure stories and enter to win weekly prizes.
Two winners will be drawn weekly to receive Disney and Pixar Luca gear and watermelon swag.
One final winner will receive an “Unforgettable Movie Night” prize pack including an outdoor movie projector, projector screen, popcorn maker, watermelon slicer, and a BlendJet.
Fans can also find watermelon recipes inspired by Italian cuisine like “Watermelon Pizza alla Italia” and “Watermelon Feta Caprese Bites.”
