Marvel Television is proud to announce acclaimed artist studio Phantom City Creative as the final recruit for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The Art of Level 7, closing out this exclusive art series that united top artists from around the world, the artwork celebrates the final six episodes of the series’ inaugural season (airing Tuesdays, 8|7c on the ABC Television Network).
Dark secrets are revealed as Coulson and his team put everything on the line to stop Garrett and the forces of Hydra during the explosive season finale of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. But when the dust settles, Coulson will find that no one’s leaving this battle unscathed. And just when all hope seems lost, they’re joined by the one man who may be able to turn the tide – Nick Fury.
“We’re extremely proud of everything we’ve accomplished in this first season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” said Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel TV. “To commemorate this historic endeavor, we reached out to our friends at Phantom City Creative for their help in creating an iconic piece capturing the journey these characters have gone through since day one – no one is the same as when they started.”
“Beginning of The End,” airs Tuesday, May 13 at 8/7c on the ABC network, concluding the powerful first season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
“Combining my love of Marvel and all things Joss Whedon, this was a real treat of a project to work on. I couldn’t be happier that Marvel asked me to participate,” said Phantom City Creative’s Justin Erickson. “I grew up reading Marvel comics and enjoy what Marvel has been doing with their Cinematic Universe. With my previous Marvel work on Marvel’s The Avengers and Iron Man 3, I was thrilled to once again play in that world creatively. With this poster, I felt it was unique as it touched upon the events of the finale and spoke to the series as a whole. The season ends in a place where S.H.I.E.L.D. has been shattered from within by Hydra, and the team itself by Ward’s betrayal. Even after all that the team went through, they’re still standing together. The keen eyed viewer will notice that Ward is the only team member not on the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo and touching the Hydra logo.”
Due to popular demand, the first three posters in this exclusive art series have sold out. Phantom City Creative’s “Beginning of The End” will be available at http://www.marvelstore.com/
