- According to Deadline, Mark-Paul Gosselaar has been cast as the male lead in Mixed-ish the spinoff of ABC’s hit series, Black-ish.
- Mixed-ish follows a younger Rainbow Johnson and her siblings as they move from a hippie commune to the suburbs. Gosselaar will play Bow’s father Paul Johnson.
- The role was originated by Anders Holm in the backdoor pilot episode of Black-ish.
- Deadline says, Gosselaar only recently became available for the role after his Fox drama, The Passage was cancelled.
