- Katya will play Juana, an immigrant from El Salvador who dreams of becoming a teacher and takes an under the table job at the Heritage House Vineyard.
- The pilot for Promised Land is being written, produced and directed by Michael Cuesta (Homeland).
- Katya Martin emerged from ABC’s talent diversity showcase and moved to the United States as a teenager from Spain.
- ABC Signature is producing the pilot, although it is now yet clear where it will air if picked up. Under the studio’s new content creation plan, it could end up on any of Disney’s TV networks (ABC, Freeform, FX) or Hulu.
