Jeremiah is getting a sneak peek at what Guests can expect to see when the new France pavilion expansion has its grand opening on October 1, spotting references to the film Ratatouille as you venture to the attraction.
What’s Happening:
- Before its official opening on October 1 as part of the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebration, Jeremiah got to explore the new area at the France pavilion and the attraction to see what Guests can expect when heading over to EPCOT.
France Pavilion Expansion Area
- Along with the attraction, Guests will be able to see the expansion of the France pavilion, nearly doubling in size with a waterside pathway near the EPCOT International Gateway called Rue Auguste Gusteau (an homage to the famous chef).
- As Guests walk under the art nouveau-style archway, they’ll enter a French market street called Alleé des Marchands (“Alley of the Merchants”) where they’ll find the new table-service restaurant La Crêperie de Paris, the quick-service location Crêpes A Emporter at La Crêperie de Paris, and an arcade that transitions you to the fantastical vision of Paris from Ratatouille.
- At the Alleé des Marchands, Guests can also spot the office for the health inspector from the film, Nadar Kessard.
- Located outside the theater entrance for the attraction, Guests can spot Chef Skinner’s scooter and Chef Colette’s motorbike from the film.
- While roaming around, check out La Cave D’Ego, a wine shop owned by the food critic Anton Ego. If you look at the vintages of the wine bottles displayed, they each hold a special significance to Ratatouille both for the film and the attraction at Disney Parks.
- A Ratatouille-inspired fountain can be found near the entrance of the attraction, featuring rats holding bottles and flutes of champagne as water shoots out of the bottles. Remy can be found atop of the fountain holding a cooking spoon.
- By La Crêperie de Paris, you may spot some prints, looks like they may be getting some help.
The France pavilion expansion area along with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will have its grand opening on October 1, 2021 as part of the “World’s Most Magical Celebration” at Walt Disney World.
