It looks like if you want to take a madcap trip to the kitchen of Gusteau’s when Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opens up at EPCOT in October, you’re going to have to join a virtual queue in order to do so.
What’s Happening:
- Walt Disney World has revealed that the highly anticipated trackless adventure that takes us into Paris as we saw it in the 2007 Pixar Animation Studios film, Ratatouille, coming in October to EPCOT, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, will be accessed and experienced by guests using the virtual queue system.
- Currently, the only other experience at Walt Disney World that can only be experienced by Virtual Queue, or as they call it “Boarding Group,” is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- While we don’t know specific details, based on what we’ve seen at the Disneyland Resort with both Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and WEB Slingers, it is likely that even though the experiences are in separate parks, guests will only be able to acquire one virtual queue entry per day.
- This news also comes on the heels of the announcement of the Disney Genie, Genie+, and Lightning Lane planning and line-jumping services, and it is unclear what effect, if any, this system will have on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
- Set to open on October 1st, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is going to be located in the France Pavilion at EPCOT. The attraction will not feature a height requirement, and guests of all ages are welcome to enjoy. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is based on the hit 2007 Pixar Animation Studios film Ratatouille and is a clone of an existing attraction called Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy in Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris. The experience will be part of a newly expanded France pavilion inside EPCOT that will also feature a new dining location called La Crêperie de Paris that will offer both table service and quick-service options.
