Disney has found its leads for their upcoming biopic on Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. The film, which is titled Greek Freak, will star newcomer Uche Agada, Yetide Badaki and Dayo Okeniyi, according to Variety.
- Uche Agada, Yetide Badaki and Dayo Okeniyi will star in Disney’s Greek Freak.
- Agada will play NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo while Badaki and Okeniyi will play his mother and father respectively.
- The role will mark Agada’s onscreen debut. He auditioned for the role after seeing an Instagram post about the open casting call.
- Badaki has held a role in NBC’s hit series This is Us, while Okeniyi has had roles in features like The Hunger Games, Terminator Genisys and The Spectacular Now.
- Greek Freak is being developed by Walt Disney Studios and will be heading to Disney+.

- The film will follow the true story of Antetokounmpo’s life and family and his rise to fame in the NBA.
- Antetokounmpo came to the U.S. in 2013 when he signed with the Milwaukee Bucks and quickly became one of the sport’s biggest stars, having been named the NBA’s MVP twice.
- The NBA star will executive produce the film, Arash Amel is on to write and Akin Omotoso has been tapped to direct.
- Bernie Goldman is also on to produce.
- Production on the film will begin later this year in both Greece and the U.S.
