Disney’s live-action remakes keep on coming. The studio is reportedly in talks with director Marc Webb to helm a live-action remake of their very first animated classic, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, according to Variety.
- Webb is known for directing the Amazing Spider-Man series.
- While the deal isn’t done just yet, Webb is reportedly Disney’s top choice to direct the Snow White remake.
- Disney is also reportedly negotiating with writer Erin Cressida Wilson to pen the script for the film, while Marc Platt is on board to produce.
- Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are also tapped to write new songs for the film. The pair is known for their work on films like La La Land, The Greatest Showman, and Dear Evan Hansen.
- Snow White will continue the trend of live-action remakes of Disney’s animated classics that will seen Dumbo, Aladdin and The Lion King hit theaters this year.
