Welcome to another Disneyland Resort update. This week we are looking at current happenings and changes at the Disneyland Resort, including construction updates at Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney. Of special note in this update, the brand new Dumbo queue is now open (it’s pretty), and the Incredicoaster is looking just super.
Over in Disneyland, the Dumbo queue recently underwent refurbishment for a colorful new. The bright pinks, blues, and purples really pop, but the stars lining the inside of roof are just magical. Plus, the newly-covered queue will surely make parents happy as their wait for this classic on a hot California day. Check out the fun circus posters that line the walls around the attraction.
Heading back towards the entrance of the park, guests will notice the red, yellow, and blue buntings hanging throughout the park. Even these subtle nods to the Resort wide Pixar Fest are enough to make anyone smile. You’ll also notice the cheerful flowers in bloom. Spring is here!
Disney California Adventure is getting ready for the grand opening of Pixar Pier on June 23rd. The Parr’s house is coming along nicely. Further along the Pier is the Incredicoaster and it’s looking good. Construction is almost complete for the redesigned super coaster. Near by, Knick’s Knacks is home to all sorts of Pixar merchandise. We really like the Edna Mode tee shirt. Remember heroes, “NO capes!”
In the Downtown Disney District, you’ll come across some really cool themed merchandise. Just look at the scary clock statue from Haunted Mansion complete with its ominous number “13.” Fans of Darkwing Duck and DuckTales will appreciate these fun coffee mugs featuring their favorite characters. Celebrate the summer holidays with the fun red, white, and blue Mickey themed dishes and decorations. The relocated Disney Dress Shop is now open and showcasing their adorable offerings. If you’re looking for a Disney themed dress, this is the store for you.
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is going to be awesome! Everything is really beginning to take shape and promises to be an experience unlike anything else. The new area in Disneyland is set to open in 2019 and we can’t wait.
Finally, construction continues near the Mickey and Friends Parking structure and former Pinocchio lot. Space is being cleared for the new parking garage for the growing Resort.
Thanks for joining us for this Disneyland Resort Parks update! Stay tuned for more exciting news from the Happiest Place on Earth!
