With no more than a few hours passing since one of the biggest closures (as far as space goes) in any Disney Park, the Disney’s Hollywood Studios has experienced an awakening… have you felt it?Before we get into the new Star Wars entertainment we would be remiss to not take a look at the rest of the every changing park and the addition of construction walls. Of course, with walls going up to block off the Streets of America, some deconstruction has been going on for a few weeks where possible starting with the Premier Theater.Over at Pixar Place, the road has become a dead end with walls blocking that way towards the former Streets of America that include some concept art for Toy Story Land. Besides the Streets of America, walls are a plenty throughout the park. The first walls are in the center of the park while preparation for the projectors for the new fireworks show.New meet and greets are coming near Echo Lake for Olaf and Mickey and Minnie. Also, we have the removal of towers that have been in place since the early days of the park as part of the Sorcery in the Sky fireworks show. Pizza Planet is still behind walls with more facade removal. As far as food goes in the park, with the closure of many grab and go and quick service eateries, tests are starting with different options including changing the Writers Stop from a pastry and dessert option to more of an “upper class” option with pretzels, cheese plates, and alcohol.
