During ABC’s presentation at the Television Critics Association this weekend, the network announced it was renewing three of its popular game show revivals: Match Game, Celebrity Family Feud, and $100,000 Pyramid. As TV Line notes, this will mark the third season for Pyramid and Match Game while the Feud is set for season four. ABC previously announced a third season for another game show, To Tell the Truth.
It was also announced that Match Game host Alec Baldwin has signed a first-look development deal with ABC Studios. Announcing the deal, ABC entertainment president Channing Dungey said, “Alec’s quick wit, charm and star power set the stage for an unadulterated and can’t-miss hour of television each week on Match Game. The series is an integral part of ABC ‘Fun & Games,’ and I’m glad to have it and Alec back.” Similarly ABC Studios president Patrick Moran said, “Alec Baldwin is one of the most prolific, creative people in the entertainment industry. We’re looking forward to channeling that creativity for our studio.”
