The World of Disney Barbecue

We’re all familiar with different cooking methods like baking, frying, steaming, and broiling. When used properly, these methods make it possible for certain foods to take on different characteristics, enhancing the dining experience. Barbecuing is one of those methods that can completely change the way food, especially protein tastes, and this week on The World According to Jeff Goldblum, Jeff sets out to learn what makes this cooking method so special.

During his journey, Jeff observes the finer arts of grilling with The BBQ Pit Boys in Connecticut, hones Korean BBQ skills with vlogger Stephanie Soo, and learns how to smoke a sustainable protein source—crickets—from the folks at Aspire.

Crickets. Crickets!

Crickets. Crickets!

It seems by the end of the episode he’s become quite the grill master himself, and all this delicious looking food leaves the audience suddenly craving barbecue everything.

Instead of trying our hands at cooking, Laughing Place, is taking a quick look at the barbecue restaurants found at Disney Parks around the world. Let’s dig in!

Flame Tree Barbecue – Walt Disney World

  • Located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, guests can fill up on ribs, chicken, cole slaw and more. If you’re craving flavorful savory entrees, this is the place for you.

Did you know?:

  • A new BBQ restaurant is coming to Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! While enjoying their experience as a “toy” in Andy’s backyard, guests can venture over to Roundup Rodeo BBQ for a tasty meal in a playful setting. Yee haw! Roundup Rodeo BBQ will open in 2020.

Bengal Barbecue – Disneyland

  • This Disneyland park quick service location is a great place to visit for tasty skewers, spring rolls, and more.

Barbecue Popcorn – Tokyo Disneyland

  • One thing to know about Tokyo Disney Resort is that they have a lot of interesting snacks, and their rotation of seasonal churro and popcorn flavors make for some tasty “must-have” treats. Unfortunately, we were not fans of the lackluster BBQ popcorn which smelled much more flavorful than it tasted.

Barbossa’s Bounty – Shanghai Disneyland

  • Running around a park as big as Shanghai Disneyland is sure to make you hungry! Satisfy those cravings at Barbossa’s where you can enjoy hearty ribs and chicken, complete with delicious sides of rice, corn, and veggies.

Clopin’s Festival of Foods – Hong Kong Disneyland

  • Clopin the Jester isn’t fooling when it comes to food! This festival themed quick service restaurant features plenty of a la carte options for even the pickiest eaters including honey glazed BBQ chicken.

Cowboy Cookout Barbecue Disneyland Paris

  • This Frontierland restaurant is only open seasonally, and when the grill is on, it’s a popular place! Cowboy Cookout offers half chicken, ribs, burgers, fries, and some sweet treats.
  • When the restaurant reopens for the next season, it will feature a new style of dining: guests can choose one entree and enjoy buffet style sides and desserts.
