Disney and Pixar have released a teaser trailer and poster for Turning Red, coming out on March 11, 2022 from the director of the Pixar short film Bao, Domee Shi.
What’s Happening:
- This morning, Disney and Pixar shared the first teaser trailer for the upcoming film Turning Red, from Domee Shi who won an Oscar for her 2018 short film Bao.
- In the film, 13-year-old Mei Lee, voiced by Rosalie Chiang, turns into a giant red panda when she gets too excited as her protective mother Ming, voiced by Sandra Oh, is never far behind.
- The film is directed by Domee Shi and produced by Lindsey Collins.
About Turning Red:
- “Young actress Rosalie Chiang lends her voice to Mei Lee, a 13-year-old who suddenly “poofs” into a giant red panda when she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS). Sandra Oh voices Mei Lee’s protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, who is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager.”
