The Fabulous Disney Babe

The dessert was gorgeous, but I could only eat the ghosts. Our server brought me a plate, asked if I wanted a fruit plate, I said yes, and she gave me, without me asking, packaging to take the desserts home. I did, however, see some berries in a chocolate cup. Berries are safe - or so I thought. They had been soaked in Chambord. Heavenly, but definitely a no-no. Also, there were kids there - did they get that on their plate as well?
In between courses, Jack and the Phantom Three appeared on the upstairs balcony to play the new "Scarols". I'm having a good deal of trouble warming up to them, for some reason. At dessert, Jack announced that, as a gift, our names would appear on name tags in the ride. Way cool. We exited the dining area, and in the foyer there was a reception line of the artists who had contributed to the evening, including Eric Robison, whose 100 Mickeys exhibit had been supplanted by the new Haunted Mansion exhibit that just debuted in the Gallery. If I'd known he was going to be there, I would have brought that bust for him to see. Oh well, next time. We also received a beautiful litho of Sally, signed by the artist - Eric Robison. What a nice touch.
We hurried to the Mansion, where there was no line, so we strolled up to the fellows dressed as undertakers - I only caught two names, Bob and Roger, as they valiantly tried to lead the group in Scaroling. Even later, when the queue was packed, no one seemed very interested. They had some good, solid gags, however.
As you can see, I saw the gift tag with my name on it, but my Mavica and I were too slow - this is the best I was able to get. The tags were at the bottom of the staircase, just as you begin your ascent. We came back later in the evening to try to take better photos, but, alas, the tags had been removed. Too bad.
