Other Changes
In addition to the major changes mentioned, several other smaller changes have been or will be made to the Disneyland Resort to support or compliment the others.

The Disneyland Pacific Hotel will be renamed to the Paradise Pier Hotel. The hotel has already been given a face lift to support this change. At the Disneyland Hotel all the bungalows have been removed to make way for Downtown Disney. The old wedding garden is also gone and a new wedding gazebo has been built in a different location. The hotel has also been given a much more garden-like feel overall. The shopping and restaurant area in front of the hotel has been removed including the Monorail Cafe, a long-time favorite of many Disneyland guests. The marina area with pedal boats has been removed to make way for a new Neverland Pool. One old favorite that does remain is the Fantasy Waters show.

Across the street from Disneyland a new parking structure has been built to accommodate the parking lost by building DCA (remember, DCA was built in the old Disneyland parking lot). Additional parking is currently available just outside the structure, just south of the Paradise Pier Hotel in the "Simba" parking lot and a block east of Disneyland in the "Pumbaa" parking lot. A little bit of the original parking lot is still available for guests just outside of DCA. That lot is now called "Timon". Additional parking for Downtown Disney will be located just north of the Disneyland Hotel.

West Street, between Katella and Ball, has been renamed to Disneyland Drive. The street was rebuilt with a valley near the Disneyland Hotel to allow the Downtown Disney bridge to be built over it. Cerritos, a small street for accessing the Disneyland Hotel, has also been moved and renamed Disney Way within the Disneyland Resort. Extensive changes have been made to the 5 Freeway and the near-Disneyland off-ramps to allow for better traffic flow and more direct access to and from the new parking structure.

The Downtown Disney Monorail Station

The old Disneyland Hotel Monorail Station was completely rebuilt and renamed the Downtown Disney Monorail Station and rethemed to fit better with the area. And to accommodate two theme park entrances directly across from each other, Disney has completely rebuilt the esplanade area. To pave some of this area Disneyland has begun a Walk of Magical Memories program where guests can purchase a brick with their name on it that will be set permanently into the esplanade.
