45th Anniversary Ceremony

On February 16th at 4:00 p.m., under threatening skies, Mickey Mouse, President of the Disneyland Resort Cynthia Harriss, the Disneyland Resort Millennium Ambassador Team of Dorell Mitter and Jennifer Simis, over 600 school children and Disneyland cast members all gathered in front of the Disneyland Main Street Train Station to begin Disneyland's 45th Anniversary celebration.

A trumpet fanfare finale with daytime fireworks increased the already building excitement. While it had been raining steadily throughout the day there was currently a break in the rainfall and patches of blue sky could be seen.

Disneyland Millennium Ambassador Jennifer Simis began the ceremony:
Good afternoon everyone. My name is Jennifer Simis and this is my partner Dorell Mitter and together we are the Disneyland resort Millennium Ambassador Team. On behalf of the entire Disneyland resort we'd like welcome you all here today and thank you for helping us celebrate our very special 45th anniversary. Thank you all for coming out in this very threatening weather. At this time it is my privilege to introduce to you the President of the Disneyland Resort Cynthia Harriss.
